I'm so grateful I was accepted into this amazing organization here at SUU. My first year serving as an International Student Ambassador has truly impacted my great experience here at SUU. As an ISA member we help all of the international students on campus have an amazing experience here in the United States. We are continuously planning events, promoting a more diverse campus, and teaching about cultures around the world.
Leadership Weekend
2018
Thanks to my involvement as an International Student Ambassador I was given the opportunity to assist with Leadership Weekend. Leadership Weekend is a chance for future T-Birds to come and have an on campus experience and interview to be a future ambassador for one of several locations on campus. I loved helping out this group of students for two days.
SNA Educa Summer Camp
2017
Due to my heavy involvement in the ESL department at Snow College, I was invited to travel to San Fernando, Chile with a professor and a group of students. While in Chile we were camp leaders at an English summer camp for three weeks. This was my first experience traveling outside of the United States. Helping teach every single one of these kids was such a rewarding experience. Me and two other students planned numerous activities and taught a 45 minute class every morning.
Emery High Student Council
2014-2015
I've always been involved with leadership positions. My senior year of high school was one of my favorite years as a student council member. I served as the Student Body Secretary. We did numerous things my senior year for students and the school. My favorite thing we did was raise money to buy socks and sweats to be donated to the V.A. Hospital in Salt Lake City. It was an amazing to get the whole student body behind this fundraiser and see the joy on the employees faces when we donated the boxes of socks and sweats.
